Zombie Self Portrait

A funky self portrait taken on the weekend in friends bathroom, only changes are levels and black & White conversion.

Not posted on this thread for a year so would be nice to get some feedback.

Thanks
Dan:)

I just got back from a nice 10 day trip to California. I got quite a few shots while I was there. This one is from the Japanese Tea Garden at the Golden Gate Park. C&C welcome! *Clickable*

Received my Iron Ring last week. It's the mark of an Engineer(In Canada at least). :)

Congratulations!

Most expensive ring you'll ever buy :) Now you'll spend the next year being constantly surprised when people ask you out of the blue, what kind of Engineer you are. You will get used to it.

I like the April Fool's touch :p

That's so cool. Happy April Fools.

Thanks. :) I tried to make the content backwards too, choosing a photo not by me, but of me. Not sure if that much was obvious. :D

C&C always appreciated! I just entered this in a local wildlife photography comp.

Adorable! I love how he's mid-waddle. Not sure why you needed ISO 800, though. The bokeh is showing a lot of JPEG artifacts.

Thank you. Yea, it's paid with not only money, but also blood, sweat and sometimes, tears. :D

Schoolboy error on the ISO, ALWAYS doing that really annoys me. Should learn to turn it back down after I've finished with it up, or to check before I head out. Spent about 30mins that day wondering why I was struggling not to overexpose everything.......

About the jpg artefacts, I noticed that after converting from a big RAW to a <200k jpg. I've asked on here before, but never got a response - can anybody recommend the right method for uploading a file on here? I always compress them massively because I'm worried about annoying everyone with a massive file. Thanks!

Superb...this quality of the pics in this thread never ceases to amaze me...
Can you please share more details about this pic?

Sure. And thanks for the kind comments.

This is Nichols Ledge, in Vermont. Its 8 vertical images and 6 exposures for each image. The RAW files for each image is processed in Photomatix. (basically just for the clouds) and then saved as a TIFF and stitched together in CS3 where I played with the curves, saturation, and slightly sharpened it. Its quite a process, your basically handling 48 images.

Its still not quite right, I wish I could straighten out that mountain range but it breaks in a way that makes the image look kind of crooked. It looks bad on your thumb size image, the large print should hide it.

From a show at SOBs last week. I wish there was less noise and it was sharper (used a high ISO), but I don't have a DSLR (eventually, I hope). This was the first time shooting with my new Sony H-50.

I just started using flikr and wanted to put up a picture from it, what format do I use to do this? On the flikr site there's no "direct link" or anything similar that I see.
