Got to explore the South coast yesterday for some long exposures, for some reason AFB didn't turn up!

Edit - What you don't see are the pod of about 8 dolphins swimming just out past the rocks here.

Great image! CC wise, all I've got is that the branches distract at the top left.
[doublepost=1524174237][/doublepost]Ahh I must have been beaten to the suggestion, I was also viewing the older edit. Leaves removed is more effective :)
[doublepost=1524174364][/doublepost]Also Ken, didn't know you had Flickr. Just had a quick look and I really like the Millarochy Bay tree shots!

Yep hahaha ... Alex beat you to it. I dont know what I was thinking leaving them in there.

Yep Flickr is where i post my least crap attempts :)

Do you know that tree at Milarrochy is a pain in the butt. I have been half a dozen times now and never seen it submerged! Loads of folks have images of it with the water covering its base .it is never like that when I go. Booo!

Seriously though, you were saying in the other thread you want to get back " into it"... You would be in your element at Milarrochy. It is perfect for quiet landscape. Nit so much for quiet contemplation mind you as it is mobbed on a nice night with monkeys with cameras. There is a line of rocks leading into the water. I cant find the angle i am looking for on it.. you should come up and we'll go...

Did you send me a plane ticket? I'd have loved it!

Off to some slightly less exotic location later as I'm off today. Mrs AFB is making a rare trip out though, so not sure how many images I'll get.

It's in the mail.

Hope you at least get time enough to think about and explore some interesting compositions.

I used to post on Flickr, but can't access my account because of the stupid BT Yahoo merger thing. Absolute pain in the neck. Reset password etc but still can't login. It's absolute nonsense that you HAVE to have a BT / Yahoo address for Flickr. Nonsense.

Anyway, I'd hope to get up there at some point. I'm thinking winter after a lot of rain / snow melt would be best for getting the water level right. I'd actually prefer to visit in the morning, with the soft pastel colours from the belt of venus behind the tree :)

Yep you are right on the timing for the tree. So we should plan a rendezvous or at least a way to get you up there at some point... there is a camp site 200yds along the road from it...
