Like the natural "vignetting" and the way you've captured the cyclist's sense of movement. Nice B&W.

Thanks Kenoh - a bit of summer to come yet (I hope) . Considering it was taken with the bog-standard 24-105L which is not renowned for its bookay , I was pretty pleased myself.
Wow! Crystal clear! The ring light really makes a difference doesnt it?Haven't been out with the camera for a while , so decided to go bug hunting today ...

That's really quirky. Nice framing pardon the pun... Maybe a tad warm though? Might just be my display so ignore me if it is...

No, they kept it all for themselves...the bastards!!You know there are less extreme ways to lose weight though right? sorry not playing it down, it sounds horrific but the key thing is you are still around to annoy your loved ones some more.
Lets hope they got all of it. Did you get to keep te bit they took out?
Thats tough. Hope things are getting better.I haven't been around in a while...fighting lung cancer, did get out and shoot for the first time in sometime..https://flic.kr/p/wzvSPo
Yeah , works pretty well . When I first got the 100 macro , I tried everything to get decent images ... ambient light , on camera flash , remote flash .... was pretty much a crapshoot as to what I'd get . Especially painful as this was in the bad old days of film . Anyway , I bit the bullet and sprang for the ringlight ( a Canon , so it uses the Canon E-TTL flash metering) . It pretty much eliminates lighting as a possible cause for failure . I set up the camera's custom function to shoot at 1/200 when there's a flash attached and I'm shooting in Aperture Priority . f11-f13 for some depth of field , get the bugs in focus and I'm good to go .Wow! Crystal clear! The ring light really makes a difference doesnt it?

That was at Dandy Point on Little Back River in Hampton. These are nice. Is that the James River? Glad you're doing better.
Trying out prop blur, 1/160 sec, was too slow for my ability panning in flight but OK for taxi images

Have to agree, I covered the tree with hand and the effect became very dramatic.OOH I really like that one... nice contrast from the balloon to the burner and the clouds. Only thing is the tree, not sure I am liking the imbalance.
