What's your answer about it?
fake or not?
Knowing your photoshop skills, I would call composite (dont want to use word fake as that detracts from your abilities and suggests foul play).I'll let this question be answered by fellow forum users

There's a tear in the space time continuum!!!! - looks like a photograph of a deep space galaxy... no? just me then? OK, back in my box... ;-)
Nice leading line, another nature trumps technology example.
Nicely done. Is this really a lighter dropped into some water, or is there some composite of images going on there with the flame?
Fake. The lighter won't stay lit without pressing the button and the splash is too great for an object of that size to be dropped. Cool image, but manipulated.

Thanks for debunking the mystery. A few of us started a thread on fruit dropping a while back. You would have enjoyed it.ok players
seems like you're too hawk-eyed and I need to step up my game to fool you
so
1. the flame is a stock image. I thought of hacking the lighter for continuous flame but most probably it wouldn't register on the picture due to low output and high shutter speed. At least not in that low-shutter style.
2. Splash is from actual photo, just another earlier attempt. I threw the lighter in with all my might I might say.
3. Brought together in photoshop, masked, lightened, contrasted, dodged, painted etc etc
thanks for all your kind words and playing the Guess game!
cheers,
Patrick
