These lads weren't very impressed they'd put the ball in the canal. I have to admit I found it rather humorous! I was hoping to take the picture noticed, but I think I was spotted!
You had the giant 70-200mm lens on, there's no hiding behind that thing, well actually you could nearly hide behind it! :p Did they manage to get it back or was it a lost cause?

Here is a 10 second exposure. This was the longest I got, and even then I dropped the exposure a bit still in post. It was a fun experiment if nothing else. :)

Here's another one from the eclipse, I was using the filter and there were these crescent shaped reflections so I was playing with them for a while trying to line them up into various shapes.

Glad I'm not the only one who got stuff like that. I was using a 'not optically pristine' chunk of welding glass as a filter and got all sorts of artifacts/duplicate images/reflections .

Love it! That sea looks ethereal

Edit - I'm just thinking while the mother and other half chat about horses (totally my thing...ha!), could you overlay multiple 10 second exposures in photoshop to get the same effect as say a 60 second shot with an nd filter? No water near me to try, but I've done it with star trail shots before...

Yep this seemed to be if I had the camera facing the sun but just a bit off I'd get these reflections. I like the welding glass idea! I was trying to use a second pair of eclipse glasses on a go pro and it didn't work out too well but at least I didn't fry the go pro I guess seems like it had trouble focusing.

Worth staying up for. Congrats on explored.

Engrained in the grain...

This is one of those typical shots I like when I see them. Yet when I try it just looks like a piece of wood!
Nice PP.

I like it. That horizon looks like it was done with a ruler. Perfectly level!

How long an exposure? Think the plane adds to an already nice shot.

Shooting for a friend at her performance in a dance convention.

Nicely done. I'm intrigued as to what's in her arm? Looks like a mic stand.

I'll second that!

I like a beetle. Not sure about the wheels on this one though.

An Australasian Swamphen from the local wetlands, this one let me get nice and close for a change, normally the little buggers make a break for the deeper water the moment you appear.

Or just turn their back on you.
The day people start looking for but shots of wildlife I'll come into my own!
