They stopped fitting them in the UK a while back. Urban legend says it was basically because if you ran into a pedestrian with one fitted then it was too dangerous and you could be charged with an offence. Acting like the point of a dart it would stab them. The last remaining ones are all spring loaded such as Rolls Royce and Mercedes. Jaguar no longer fit them. They are called Bonnet Mascots over here.
Let's just be honest here, you placed that bottle after you'd finished itI went for a walk today in Glasgow and went to see the Billy Connolly murals. They are quite impressive to see. This one was especially entertaining as it had an intact Glasgow landmark in front of it.

The Nigerian equivalent of that stuff is seized when found in a load of 'African foodstuffs'. I used to dread those cargo examinations because of all the unhealthy crap we would come acrossReally!?!? that stuff is rotten! after a swally of that toxin I wouldnt be able to focus the camera!
As a little bit of trivia in case it comes up in a competitive round of Trivial Pursuit... A bottle of Buckfast contains more caffeine than 8 cans of Coca Cola. Also, according to Police Scotland, between 2008 and 2010, Buckfast played a prominent role in more than 5,000 crime reports.
Lol I was literally going to type the same thing! I here @kenoh is more of a Tennents Super drinker these days though!Let's just be honest here, you placed that bottle after you'd finished it

.
Thank you. For a bright red flower, it's come out well in IR. Great fun to play with.
I thought it was an ice cream cone at first.
Makes me wanna pull out my long forgotten IR camera. Lovely shot.
I believe it was a Packard.

It was truly exciting to drive behind this vehicle as it motored over some curvy roads at 40+ mph . This is truly a grand automobile.
"I believe it was a Packard".
Was referring to the hood ornament I posted not yours. Great shot. Rare car and pretty interesting. Looking forward to more. Am going to a C&C later this month in Hilton Head, should be some interesting cars there.
Sounds like a good idea. They should do them in the UK.Got it thanks. Would not want to be poked by that Packard's bonnet mascot. The C&C in Great Falls, VA (where the photo of the Franklin was taken) has some very nice cars, generally nicer than those found at the C&C in Baltimore or Annapolis. Just as nice was the drive there. Nice curvy roads through some of the priciest real estate in suburban Washington DC. I will be sure to post a couple of more pictures from that C&C in the next week or two.
PS. For those that don't know, C&C stand 'Cars and Coffee'. Numerous parking lots around the U.S are taken over early weekend mornings by people who bring their cars for others to admire and in turn admire other people's cars. It being early morning many people drink coffee as they wander about.

Sign me up!Guess that would be T&C....Tea and Cars.
