An old farm that is falling into disrepair rather rapidly of late as vandals have been getting their mega-destructo on. 😢

Yesterday on the 10km Boofwalk, which encompasses going through here I stumbled upon a Chinese consortium having a look around the site. A young translator/driver/body guard was trying to intimidate me to move along with the posturings of starting to do martial arts moves, it turns out that the Boofs hackles coming up and one deep almighty bark win! It is earmarked for subdivision to be gobbled up in the relentless urban sprawl in about five years time, looks like this consortium are planning for its demise already, with the little bit of conversation I overheard!

The shearing shed, I sadly suspect will be razed to the ground despite the brick and stone parts dating back to the mid 1870's and being in good form. Guess who is going to be in contact with the state heritage department and the local council to try and have it protected?

Hi everyone!

I am back after a 10 year break from Macrumors Forum. I'm glad I still have access to this account. Recently got back into photography and I'm glad to see the "Photo of the Day" post still going on. What a community!

I am learning architecture photography. Here's one I practised with today. It's my first HDR photo I think it's a bit under exposed. I'm not sure, it's flat looking. I think if the sky was more blue, or golden hour, it would give this photo more depth. Let me know if anyone has advice!

Welcome back to photography. Such a balance in these challenging times (at least for me). Check your black and white points - attached YouTube link is a good tutorial for that.

It’s not exactly my wheelhouse, but I downloaded your image and edited in Photos with the following settings, eyeballing it for what I think you were going for:
Brilliance: 30
Highlights -60
Shadows 20
Contrast -10
Brightness -10
Blackpoint 10
Warmth 15
Sharpness 25
Definition 20
Vignette -8

I find on images with very bright patches, pulling down the highlights and lifting shadows will give you a better result—it will bring your sky back so long as you didn’t overexpose. I also often reduce contrast just a touch, as the sharpness/clarity/definition sliders can bring back your detail.

Welcome back. Yes looks a bit under exposed to me. What are you editing with? Boosting the shadows might help, or an additional light source.
