X100T f3.2 - listening to Audible and coffee

Crab apple in the backyard near Fairbanks, Alaska. No idea how, but some local farmer figured a way for this plant to survive the tough winters. About the edit: A standalone CS6 app (I don't use the Adobe CC app system), and NIK Software V. 3. The last step is an oil paint effect with CS6.

The mantis I mentioned yesterday. They are peculiar in the insect world in that they seem particularly interested in humans when we pay attention to them. This one didn’t like me trying to shoo him away into the grass and was actually a little standoffish. Just trying to keep you from getting squished, bud!

May have to turn this, and either one posted yesterday or others on the same outing, into a painting for illustrations within a book. Was taken in a county park, and but rules, personal photography is allowed, but turn into commercial and have to pay a fee which to me up front payment is 100% speculative that would actually sell. Out of 110 locations, about 5 have that requirement while none consider a painting, even digitized giclee, commercial. Not certain which ones going to paint but want two for the location.

Still looks quite well fed! Must have attempted to take on something a bit stronger than itself at some stage, or maybe got stuck in a Golden Orb's web? I saw one attempting a boxing match with a mouse one day! The mouse ended up running off, I think it got scratched in the eyes too many times. 😱

Actually, he’s just a really good magician, as his front legs are entirely in tact. You can see them better here:

I had another shot of him getting all cantankerous with me where you can really see them, but I missed the focus on it. :(
Glad to hear you miss the focus on some! You’ve been posting some great macro of late.

It's my butterfly bushes they are growing all over, and will take over if I don't watch out!

The only weeds I let grow are dandelions, which are for my neighbour's tortoises ;)

Cheers :)
