Debating a swim?

I am curious about this, too...! It's interesting, though, as he pauses from his intensive dining experience and then positions himself where he can look out at the lake (and also the boardwalk below).....I do wonder what is going on in his squirrely brain! I don't think squirrels can swim, but I really don't know. Maybe it's just the peaceful view that he enjoys, and it helps him relax as he is digesting his big meal of sunflower seeds and birdseed.....?!

I think I ate too much! I'm gonna hurl! Maybe that's it!

AAAAGGGHH!!!!! I hope that he doesn't hurl all over my deck!!!! AIEEEE, that would NOT be nice!!! I have had the problem of...um...cleaning up "souvenirs" left by the birdies, and that's already bad enough, something I had not properly anticipated prior to embarking on this whole feeding-the-birdies deal.....

Smaug wants and needs to hurl, he can bloody well find somewhere else to do it away from my deck, thank you very much!!!! :D. :D

Maybe he’s a frustrated sailor or something!

I purchased the new Sigma 100-400 for Sony e-mount mainly for portraits after seeing some really nice compressed portraits on IG. It came in the mail today, and went walking in the fields in my neighborhood to take some test shots after work. I have no clue what to shoot without a client in front of me... LOL... This was like the 3rd shot I took with this lens. Not sure what you guys do when shooting insects, but I just stopped in my tracks and started shooting. I'm used to telling my clients to move, or I move to frame the shot. I didn't want the dragon fly to fly away... haha

Hand held at... f6.3 @ 400mm, 1/2500, ISO 500

Cropped pic mainly to hide ugly dead plant it landed on. Rather see one single dead stick than the dead leaves below it.

This lens really shows all the dust on my sensor (fixed in post). Any tips on cleaning a sensor on a Sony A7rIII???

Nice. Personally I take my camera to a shop to get it cleaned.

If you are asking how to do it better then the best would be to take it to a professional who can clean it, as suggested earlier by others as well.

Last on in the series as returned a couple days later. Have to return next nesting season as goal is returning to nest with food. A very unique location, downtown. Nest is a platform built on top of a utility pole. My vantage point is a the 4th floor (top) of a parking garage. Luckily, the area where built up a low wall on the corners, stretching safety cables across the remainder shields me and is at an angle for the tree background rather than buildings and the railroad track. Distance is across a 2 lane side street with sidewalks. Really a great location.

Glad you get some misses. You’ve been posting a lot of hits lately!
Thanks. This one was not what I was going for, but I liked the result anyway. :) I was looking back at last year’s results of butterfly season, and I have noticed an uptick in sharpness with the upgraded gear. I was shooting budget glass at that time (a lens you can get for under $150 new), but this year the 40-150 pro just takes such great results. Crazy sharp at the focal plane, but with wonderfully soft backgrounds thanks to the f2.8. For what I shoot the most, it’s one of the best lenses I’ve ever owned. The 2x teleconverter just makes it even better. It’s a heavier lens for M43, but does an amazing job, even if the zoom ring is backward. :)
