Care to explain what’s on their feet?Taken at one of the local sled-dog races a few years ago:

Those are what is called, "booties" to help the dogs' paw pads (the rough skin on the paw). After some time on the trail, ice or rough terrain tend to chafe or create small cuts on the dogs' paws. The booties also reduce the chances of frostbite.Care to explain what’s on their feet?
Thanks. I wasn’t sure how much the dogs cared for wearing them. Plus, it seems like it might make it harder for them to gain traction since they doin’t exactly have feet made for supportive footwear! I’d figure these things wouldn’t make it long before getting torn up. Do you know what they are made out of?Those are what is called, "booties" to help the dogs' paw pads (the rough skin on the paw).
