I lived in San Diego for a short time, and I remember being out at Alpine for work once. I remember it being a classic foggy morning, and then I finally got above the fog on the mountain road I was on and into clear skies. Such a view to see a blanket of clouds with just a handful of SoCal peaks sticking out of them. I wished I had a proper camera back then. It was well before cameras on cell phones too! Just a mental memory now.Bobcat mother at water station 50 ft from house, Alpine CA.

I keep thinking you might really enjoy photographing in Zion National Park. Now that you are in Las Vegas, it's a straight shot up the 15. October is a super nice month - less hot and no crowds. Same with May.🐦🪹 Anacapa Island’s steep, isolated slopes provide excellent nesting sites for a variety of land and sea birds. 🐦🪺

Agree with you. Everyone has been bugging me to go there and check it out. But the problem is Las Vegas is like a valley and there’s nothing but rocks and desert here so I’m not too appalled to make a trip down to Utah. That is why I’m always running off to California because of the Pacific Ocean. We have enough rocks and dryness here in Las Vegas. However, Zion National Park is definitely on the list. October doesn’t sound bad at all. Now you got me thinking… maybe I should just go there and check it out. 🤔I keep thinking you might really enjoy photographing in Zion National Park. I totally get you on the rocks and the dry!!! The southwest at higher elevations has a magic all its own. Zion is pretty special. I don't think you'll be disappointed.Agree with you. Kind of felt like it -- he kept peeking around to see if I were still there, and then he'd disappear, climb up the tree a little further, then take another look. It was really rather funny!Hide and seek?
