Ah, Mizzou (Univ. of Missouri) I didn't go there, but when I was in grad school at KU (Univ. of Kansas), a lot of the students walked around with "Muck Fizzou" T shirts. And of course, I have to listen to the imbecilic gibbering of both schools' fans trash talking the other around here.

My favorite picture by you, this is great. I wonder if you would be able to brighten up his features a little bit?(i dunno if that would help even, just a thing that came to mind)

Aren't we still limited to one picture per day per user? Keep that in mind when posting pictures, folks :).

There is a limit of one photo per day. For any newcomers, this is a monthly continuation of the original "Picture of the day" thread, started by iGary, and all of the original rules still apply.

Maybe for whoever starts the January thread, the original rules could be included in the first post?

Anyway, my photo:

Thanks! Yeah I actually messed with levels to make it that dark in his face, which is how it appeared to me that morning, with the sun rising in my eyes the camera truly saw more than I could. I suspect I would have made it lighter if I were trying to sell the photo to him! This shot is about three tenths of a second later... same effect. I would use levels and maybe a little light dodging brush in the face area to keep the backlit wave effect nice and colorful.

WOW. I usually am a sucker for pictures of the english countryside, but I really love this one. Mind if I use it for my desktop? Dream away during work....

The photo has some nice colours, and its good that you are playing around with DOF, but the composition isnt there. I find my eye wants to look more towards the center/right, where its blurred, and not the in-focus house on the left. I think it might be because the colour blends with the rest of the photo, and maybe doesnt stand out enough?
