I like the feeling of depth. Why did you start at 1952 and look back? Is that a significant year? Or is it just for artistic reasons?

No particular reason... the entire walking circle is approx 1-1/4 mile, but the section with dates and events is only about 500 yards or so.

Will be posting more shots of this area, including the City Hall complex over the next few days.

When I look at your photo, the sky has areas that look too dark to me. It's almost black in some parts of the blue area. I know that in the middle of the day with white clouds in the sky there isn't going to be a nearly black sky. The clouds themselves look too detailed to me as well. These are signs that the clarity (to use the Lightroom adjustment tool name) of the sky was set high. I usually paint over the sky with a lower clarity and set the sharpen mask to not affect the sky very much.

Of course this is all artistic license. Sometimes a dramatic sky is the look you want. I think this photo benefits from the dramatic looking sky to add to the menacing look of the giant robot.

It wasnt my picture by the way... but i have some similar images and they are a resilt of a CPL filter on the voigtlander lens. The blue does go really dark in some instances without use of clarity. Cool was interesting how you pulled that out. Thx...

In that particular photo, I did use a polarizing filter. I tend to prefer the deep blue skies, and the HDR effect did over saturate the blue sky. I'm still trying to grasp the whole HDR concept.

Kudos...and thank you for NOT taking the same picture of this bridge that everyone else takes. So tired of the views of the bridge framed by the buildings on Washington St.
Yeah I took that clichéd shot of it on Front Street in Dumbo... Love it!!! :)

Cheers sarge but I have to admit to having one of "those" shots as well...

Not my handiwork, of course; I was just drawn to the colours...

Love the great 3D-ness and colours - match the wall nicely.

Ha ha ha. Well the Memesistic impulse is hard to resist. I took this shot with one foot on the handlebars and the other on the seat of my bike while holding the camera over my head (and above a fence) so it's not exactly the sharpest shot in the world...and probably not the smartest way to take pictures.

LOL bike was stationary - and certainly not rumbling down any cobblestone streets but from here on out that's how I'm telling it.
