Today is something different for me. Usually I like to freeze motion and at least try to get the sharpest pictures possible.
During my recent trip to Crane Paradise, I spent some time trying to create some motion blur images.
Here is one I kinda liked:

I can relate to that. It goes against the grain but this was worth it.
Mostly a matter of luck. This barred owl decided to hang out just behind my deck, and held still as I took his photo.

Since this has been another day when I've been busy and distracted and also coming down with a lousy cold, I am simply sharing another image from my archives..... it's a scan I did a while back from an image I shot a long, long time ago when I was taking some classes in photography.....

The original image (on film) was of two vases against a background of an interesting piece of gold parchment-like art paper that I had found somewhere. The larger vase is orange, the smaller one a dark blue. I scanned the image into which ever (Windows) computer I had back then and for some reason it would only scan part of the photo, essentially creating a cropped image with a weird bit at the top that wasn't in the original -- artifacts, if you will. I studied it for a bit and then tweaked and cropped it some more to create this rather mysterious final product!

A random alley at Oxford. That type of arches in the middle of the road always reminds me of how the city structures used to be in the old days.
