Sorry @Clix Pix. I wanted to love this, then I got the picture in my head of you wiggling something in your toes.😄While looking in my archives for something, I ran across this photo from a long-ago Christmas season. The image was shot on film, printed and used as my Christmas card that year. Sadly the original negative is long gone, but several years ago I scanned the printed image into the computer. The two Siamese cats are Tali (on the left) and Harry (on the right), brothers from the same litter, although Tali was a very "typey" Bluepoint and Harry was a more traditional Applehead Sealpoint.
Getting this shot took about three rolls of film and endless patience on my part! My reward was getting both cats actually looking at the camera, ears alert, blue eyes sparkling..... The setting was the "great room" of my former home, and I positioned the "Seasons Greetings" poster in front of the fireplace, then set up a comfy area for the two boys to snuggle up, coaxing them by bribing them with a treat or two. Then, camera in hand, I sat down on the cold slate floor and began shooting.
Many shots were unsuccessful as one or both would look at something else or shut his eyes. Finally I took off one sock and held something up in my toes, waving my foot around. Both boys gazed at that, interested and curious.... and eventually I got the shot!

Is that Four Peaks?
No closer, like McDowell rangeIs that Four Peaks?
No, not ridiculous: it was a good idea that got the siamese attention. I imagine you had fun doing that!😍I am sure I looked absolutely ridiculous sitting on the floor, waving one foot in the air with a matchbook or something in my toes (while also trying to keep it out of camera range)! I had to use both hands, though, to work with the camera. I don't recall now which camera I had or which lens I would have had on it, but it would have been Nikon gear. Probably the N90.... Obviously there is no EXIF on this image, and the date mentioned is probably the date I scanned it into the computer. I'll have to look for my file of my hand-created Christmas cards, as at the time I had put the date on the back the way they do with commercial cards. Found the answer: image was shot and cards were sent to friends and family in December 1993.
Gorgeous cats! I have had several Siamese cats in the past and they are amazing animals. While looking in my archives for something, I ran across this photo from a long-ago Christmas season. Thank you! These two were fascinating and each had a distinctive personality. And, as is typical of Siamese, they were very talkative at home. In the car they were quite vociferous, especially when they suspected we were going to the V-E-T...... I still miss my boys but after they had both crossed the Rainbow Bridge I decided not to get more pets. I have great memories of the times with H&T!Gorgeous cats!
