My wife does YOGA 4 times a week. Two of the sessions are hot yoga with the room temp at 100°F/38°C. View attachment 2131889

Tried hot yoga, not my thing.

I was munching my way halfway through the third biscuit when I thought, "I gotta stop this!" and the next thought was, "A photo.....I've got to take a photo!" So I quickly did a setup in "Studio A" (AKA my master bedroom with nice large windows letting in loads of natural light and as a dandy working surface, my dresser positioned under those windows, which works out perfectly for many tabletop closeup and macro shots).

A couple pieces of 8x10 shiny Christmas Green card stock served as backdrop and surface, respectively, and the two unopened tubes of the goodies were the subjects. I plucked three chocolate- bedecked biscuits (cookies to us in the US) from the opened package, set them in place, and, camera in hand. began shooting.... :)

It was snowing and hovering around -5F with a howling NW wind, making it feel even worse. I’m pretty sure all I did was prepare food and eat food most of the today. I went outside to refill the bird feeders and it was brutal!

We were more fortunate here in the DC area/Northern Virginia; just had cloudiness and rain most of the day, not a snowflake to be seen. Given the lighting conditions, I was surprised that I got as much natural light as I did on my subjects (of course Auto ISO helped a bit too). Also our temps were warmer, too, but that will be changing as of tomorrow.....that's when we'll be assaulted by the punishingly low temps that much of the rest of the US has already been enduring. Brrrrrr!!!!

For the next several days I'll be huddled inside here with cups of hot coffee, a few more of those biscuits/cookies from time to time, plus hot meals as well, and communicating with family and friends by texts, phone calls or emails rather than getting together in person as had originally been planned for tomorrow and this weekend. Gift shopping all done, grocery shopping for the next little while also done, so I'm ready to hunker down!

Yes, it has been “nippy” here in Denver too. -18 tonight, -36 wind chill. Woof.
