This is likely my last post of 2022. I want as little to do with technology as I can until 2023 on the days I am not working. So I’d like to thank you all for your reactions, comments, feedback on my photos since I joined earlier in the year.

This is a memorial fountain in the town of Merthyr Tydfil, in the snow a few years ago. Stay warm and safe out there, wherever you are

Another image from the past, this one a cheerful Egret I shot at Assateague Island (Virginia) in 2007. I loved the expression on his face and decided he'd be fun on a Christmas card. First project was to clean out the messy bushy foliage background behind him -- an undertaking not as easy as it is these days! Then I replaced that background with bright Christmas green, leaving space to put text, but in the end decided to just go with text on the inside of the card instead. Then it was time to put a Santa hat on him. In my inexperienced hands (never have gotten the hang of using layers) that took more doing than I had anticipated, but voila! He was ready for the season.

On the back of the card, "Santa Egret" and the attribution: "Two-Baht Productions in Association With Siam Shadows Partners III and Egrets of Assateague Island." Santa Egret brought smiles to quite a few faces of family and friends that holiday season!
