During shows at Radio City Music Hall, the orchestra is usually tucked away in a 'cave' under the stage, barely visible to the audience. At the end of the show the orchestra rises up into view, seeing light perhaps for the first time in hours...
It is... forgot to label it...looks like Radio City Music Hall lobby.
Looks like a loupe was taped on the back.Hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday. Today is another scan from my early Navy days. This is on the flight deck of the USS Nimitz, a nuclear powered aircraft carrier. You can see the tower on the left where the bridge is. That is also where the flight deck video camera is located that the Photographers Mates used for capturing and documenting all flight ops. You can see three aircraft in this photo. The one on the left is the S-3A Viking which is an antisubmarine warfare aircraft. The big plane in the middle is the E-2C Hawkeye which is an early warning all-weather defensive aircraft. The helicopter is the SH-3H Sea King which is the aircraft I would go up in to take aerial shots. I got to make two Mediterranean cruises and tour several European and north African countries on this ship(Italy, Spain, England, Germany, Israel, Egypt, and Tunisia). Also have been to Fort Lauderdale FL, Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, the Indian Ocean, and Saint Thomas in the Virgin Islands on the Nimitz. I had a lot of great experiences while on the Nimitz, and a few scary one's too, but I wouldn't give any of those experiences up for anything in the world. I got to see and do things I probably never would have otherwise, and they all helped make me who I am today.

Crappy snapshot a friend took of me operating the flight deck video camera. Look at the size of that thing(1979).

Just the viewing hood. Had detached and had to tape it on. Good ol’ Navy ingenuity at its best.😂Looks like a loupe was taped on the back.
Ah, viewing hood - my brain was not firing the correct thought. Those cameras must have run hot with all the tubes inside.Just the viewing hood. Had detached and had to tape it on. Good ol’ Navy ingenuity at its best.
