I just realized I forgot to clean up a couple dust spots on PS. Aside from that, comments always appreciated.

PS: Everyone does such an awesome job on here with the trees, and beach and the city. Since I'm kinda close to LA but not quite there, and kinda close to the beach but not quite there, and kinda close to the forest but not quite there, I figured I would try to show the beauty of the desert.

True we don't get many desert shots. I'd like it more without the sign.

Came across a bunch of Chinese school girls at the park on the weekend, I'm guessing they were here for some kind of Chinese New Year celebration/event...

This was taken looking through a rubbish bin. My girlfriend asked if I had actually got *in* to the bin for this shot, before I pointed out it had openings on all 4 sides to look through :)

I'm flattered...

A quiz for MR folk. This statue celebrates a guy who influenced people all over the world, yet the title of his best-known book sounds less innocent in 2015!

Scouting for Boys ?

Looks like Baden-Powell.

Give that man a coconut!

The statue is next to Poole Harbour. Apparently, Brownsea Island, nearby, was the where he first set up camp...

Interesting photograph, and great dialogue. Very well done, and nicely developed…...

love the originality, but it looks like she was on to you!

Yeah, to be honest I felt like I had achieved creep-level 9000 at the time. Though there's something about being spotted that I think adds to a photo. I always prefer a photo where eye contact is made, rather than not.

Kind words but in my case you got it the wrong way round. Your shots are fabulous and like a few others I seem to stalk on here, your skills are what I aspire to with my photography.

Ken.

Thank you for your kind support Ken...it's much appreciated.

We had a 10 minute sleet storm this afternoon.

Yep. Sleet and rain and general "Photoshop the sky in" weather here north of the border.

I really like that. Love the hot tones and the tree visible despite the sun. Nice one!
