Stunning, Ken! Gorgeous focus and bokeh, and colour contrasts!
Thank you kindly. Adore the tones of your Almond Blossom. Tonality is beautiful

Lovely. How did you get the sharpness and the soft glowy edges at same time?

Taken in the parking lot of a McDonalds. Who says they don't use fresh ingredients! Actually there was a house next to the McD's that was torn down and they had chickens. The chickens disappeared and the empty land turned in to brush. Looks like the chickens survived and are doing quite well. I have no idea what variety they are but they are a handsome bunch and seem to be doing well.

Took a walk on a public trail near where I live and I came across these plants. Everything is dead in winter so nothing is in bloom or green.

No comment on the Nikon sharp retort...

Ken, have you tried adjusting the sharpness in camera? Your photos are usually sharp but if you want that extra crispness it might give you the look you want.

Taken a couple of days ago - what's this fuchsia doing flowering in February?

Goodness knows. Spotted a rosebud in full colour in the garden yesterday!

Hi Ish. I really appreciate the tip but i am shooting raw so bumping sharpness doesn't help I am afraid. My problem is definitely the sack of meat with its finger on the button. :-(

Then you should be able to sharpen to your heart's content! IMO it doesn't suit all photos though. Street, to me, can take more sharpening than landscapes. :)

Yeah but that is the thing, I cant seem to get images crisp and vibrant the way say @anotherscotsman does on here. My images always look dull. I have tried tripod and handheld, low iso, but it frustrates me you know? I so want to be able to take nice sharp images. I practice my stance, my focus, I try to explore with getting ISO as low as possible to get the cleanest shots. The only thing I havent tried is stacking. You see it when @MacRy goes and gets himself an A7 and starts putting out images I could only dream of... I wanna be good at this... :-(

Dont get me wrong, I am frustrated in a "keep going until I get it" way, but it is really annoying me you know? and I know I am armed with the best sensor on the market right now and some of the most sought after glass so it is definitely me that is the issue. :)
