Best roasted. Yum!

Thank you. But in reality there is not much about taking photos of the Auroras other than being out there at the right place and time, and sometimes when very cold outside. The technical stuff about exposure time and the rest can easily be achieved. Sometimes it is somewhat boring, unless you can keep an eye on the lights show instead of the camera. Now, wildlife photography cheers me up quite a lot. If I only had a Canon 200-400mm L lens other than in my dreams, that is (too expensive):)

Well you've still got out there and taken it when others have stayed in a warm bed.
As for glass you can always rent. My 200-500 mm Nikon was affordable for me at £1100. But a 500mm f4 is well out of my price range.

Thx mate
They were lovely and easy to get to from the road. With a 400mm I could have sat in the car and got a shot of it... lol...

Amsterdam city centre?

No. A little village east, near the german border.

Well next time pick me up on the way.
On a similar note two colleagues had to drive from Birmingham to Lossiemouth today. I didn't envy them!

Just your average local Baltimore diner.

Papermoon Diner by Lance Randall, on Flickr

Well okay, not really average. When my daughters were very young we went here to have a bite but had to leave before ordering. The crazily decorated mannequins and painted heads of various dolls were just a bit too much for them. The things you learn along the way as a parent. BTW, the menu is almost as eclectic as the decor and pretty good (and fortunately the girls weren't scarred for life and now enjoy eating there).

It's worse than that. One drove a van, the other followed in a car!

NO!!!! what an absolute waste of their time. Unless they are into photography too... in which case it will take forever as they stop every 100 yards for a snap as of the Trossachs. lol...
