Well, it’s not an electronic sign, but judging by the proliferation of robins in the area, I think spring is indeed coming. They might need a jackhammer to get a worm, but until then, Eastern redcedar berries seem to suffice.

(ps the light leak was natural not added in post. this roll broke in camera but my daughter, in this photo) was able to get it out of the camera for me in a basement bathroom. but as a result a few photos have actual light leaks. or maybe it’s the camera, but it’s kind of intermittent so i think it was just this roll)

So did a continuous shot at the fireside tonight, then blended two of the images. Top layer I set at 50% transparency.

I"m in the midst of doing some tinkering in my archival files and ran across a bunch of NEFs (RAWs from Nikon cameras) from a long-ago trip to Florida. Browsed through them and decided to process this one of a Sandhill Crane:
