Thank you for your kind comment!Great photo
Carlos, I must admit that your pictures throughout this thread has been VERY excellent![]()
Solrac Selbor your photos never cease to amaze me..
How do you make everything look so vivid? (pardon the question, but I'm a noob to photography.. literally).
Canon Powershot S80 (3 years old now) handheld.
HDR... I see.
Can you do that with Aperture?
@PimpDaddy - Thanks. Most of my editing is done in Lightroom using the Greyscale conversion. This is the same as CameraRAW I believe. I increase the exposure a bit to brighten the overall image unless it's already very bright and then adjust contrast with blacks and fill light as necessary.
Then once I'm satisfied using curves/highlights, shadows etc. I'll adjust the colour to get the right brightness in certain areas such as people's faces which can be a problem with the Greyscale conversion.
Then after that is all done if the image really needs it I'll bring it into Photoshop for some dodging + burning of the highlights and shadows just to make things pop a little more. Then that's about it.
This is another photo taken with my Lensbaby. I was going to show a black and white which but I think this photo is better than the black and white just uploaded to my flickr.

A nice compliment coming from the master of the well-lit landscape...!I love pictures like this, that you can 'wander round' in. I want to be walking that path...
Wow... I love this one. It reminds me of this picture I took a while ago Link although yours is much better!. Your picture looks like if I was looking at the earth and space at the same time.
