Thanks! The concept first hit me around the end of November when I saw the city council had finally gotten round to fixing and upgrading the lighting on the bridge. I knew the shot would need calm conditions to get reflections, so I've spent most of the time since (im)patiently studying the weather forecast every day waiting for the opportunity. Naturally this had to coincide with wettest and windiest December on record. Anyway, we finally got a break last Monday and I have to say conditions were as close to perfect as could be expected. I'm pretty pleased with it myself - the end result is as close as can be expected when I visualised the shot.Excellent! How long did you have wait to take this?
Nice!
Nice. Wafer-thin DoF must have been a pain to get it right!
Not too sure if the lack of dof works too well with this shot... there's a lot of detail there I would like to see. Thanks guys and yeah...there's not much room for error. I'm content to keep practicing though. View attachment 609393
Very lovely... like the highlight around the couple... magical.
We had hail in the afternoon. then came this beautiful sunset. Love it.

Very nice composition. Is this done with a straight ground glass focusing screen? When my eyes were good I had a 1.2 on a Nikon with a ground glass. I liked the versatility of that. Thanks guys and yeah...there's not much room for error. I'm content to keep practicing though. View attachment 609393
What a lovely snow scene!
What a lovely snow scene!
Up North is a good place for it.
Well you'll just have to wait for the f8 shots. Not too sure if the lack of dof works too well with this shot... there's a lot of detail there I would like to see.
This one was shot using live view mode x10. I usually just use the camera's viewfinder, but as my eyes are failing badly these days I thought I'd play it safe on this one.Very nice composition.
