Snowy Owl at sunrise.

Are you trying to make me jealous posting this just after I made the post about looking for animals to photograph but not finding any?

I think your wildlife may have headed south to warmer climates. Another few months and I'll be the one coming up dry...unless I can get back to Alaska <fingers crossed>.

This was a fairly cold and foggy day. I know this bagpiper had to be cold.

This is a very cool shot. I really like your choice of framing keleko.

Thanks! It is one of my favorite shots from my trip, too. I find I'm really liking my street shots with the landmark context in the background. I have lots of the more typical "here's a landmark!" shots, too, but now I wish I'd tried to get more like this than I ended up with.

Most of them, but I know there are a few birds still around as well as a few moose and musk ox. Hopefully I can find some of them soon or at least have a clear night with no moon and good northern lights...

Musk Ox! I know of a few people (myself included) who would LOVE to photograph Musk Ox in the snow...especially a blizzard.

I'm jealous. :)

Once I find them I'll get the pictures up on here. I'm not sure if I really want to be out in a blizzard long enough to get the pictures although I'm sure they'd be great.
