Got out again today. I'm not sure I have the photoshop skills, but I think it might look better if I was able to clone out the power pole and lines.

Personally I prefer the picture with the lines in place - don't know why but perhaps just looks more representative?

Something less colourful taken between sleet showers with my new EOS M3. Comments always appreciated.

Is this the place where there is a MacDonalds where the signage is gold on black to match the colours in the mall.

Hah, it WAS the place where there WAS a McDonald's ... they were turfed in 2012 after a 20-year presence at centre court. That location has now been filled with what seems to be a more palatable chain, Prada.

Interesting scuttle has Starbuck's making it's FIRST incursion into Italy, through Milan, sometime Q1 2017. Mention has been made of the location being at the Galleria, we'll see if it's inside or out.

Wow! 5 years ago at least since I was last in Milan then! I wondered at the time how they got that prime location... Lol

Yeah, I'm no longer offended by the presence of the ubiquitous food chains with the exception of one - that sandwich place, that "bakes" it's own rolls and where the "aroma" gags me for blocks around.

On the Duomo Piazza, where McDonald's has since relocated in a subtle fit-in, there is an incredibly offensive presence by an Italian bank with it's hideously green awnings.

Use the path tool with the Bezier curve function to get the line covered exactly because they almost always bend or droop despite looking straight. Then select the healing brush with a small, soft edge and stroke the path. Keeps it neat and tidy.

Nothing fancy required…. I was going to do it earlier, but went out, and was beaten to it. This was done with iPhoto, which is all I ever use. Don't have a credit card to download Lightroom and Photoshop or whatever, and just have a Fujifilm X20, but still have quite a few photos used on the sports pages of the local newspaper. 'Tis just a case of making the most of the resources available.

Great timing.

Thanks….. Timing is the key to many of my photos of sport. I don't usually use multi-shot unless I want to catch some piece of action frame by frame; bowling for instance in cricket. Once you know the sport you can anticipate to capture moments. I don't get them all, but I do get a far few.

I do have a credit card but I can't justify the Adobe subscription services. I have CS6 on my Mac and when it no longer agrees with the OS I too will be working with iPhoto more.
Don't worry about that; I still have CS4, working fine in Sierra :)

Cheers :)

I'm still sitting on El Capitan because I have other "things" that stopped working with the move from Yosemite ... who knows what else will disappear going to Sierra.

I think the only way I've got away with it is by upgrading all the way from Leopard on my various machines, and keeping complete backups of the old system with Carbon Copy Cloner until I know all is well.

Cheers :)

Photography can take you to new places.

Got up early this morning to take pictures in a nearby park I really haven't spent much time in. The pictures are not that interesting quite frankly but I learned a lot about that nearby park though. Numerous nature trails (in the middle of the city), public pavilions one can rent/reserve in a park-like setting, and a mansion built by a man who helped build one of the first railroads in Russia in the 1850's (brought back a boatload of money and a Russian wife). The mansion is now the home of a Baltimore outdoor youth program. Plus, all that walking around did get me a much needed workout.

Part of a water wheel used to pump water up to the mansion back in the day.

Now that I'm seeing it both ways I think I agree with you. Although I'll probably still go and make my own version without lines to practice.

Here is today's picture. It's just outside of town looking back along the beach.
