Thanks. I've never been that far into BC but from looking at some of the photos it looks like a beautiful place. I think I'll need to make a trip in the near future.

You should definitely think of taking a trip to BC.. Vancouver is nice, but avoid the down town east side - today I was forced to take the film out of my camera by a small group of thugs.

Were you taking the thugs photo? You're lucky they just took your film, maybe you need to find yourself your own small group of thugs for protection.

Yes, I really need do need to get out to BC and whole list of other places. Maybe my wife will let me sell the house and buy an RV to travel for a year.

Love the colors & depth in this shot.

Brand new to photography and here is my first "photo shoot". This shot is from a test photo shoot. It will be done again but I did it because I would like your criticism and the car wasn't cleaned yet. Anyway, this is the result. Behold a Hummer that was recently done up by my Dad's auto body shop. Some of these photos are going to be used for banners in his shop, and there will be text in the sky, but I haven't thought of anything yet.

I've also touched up a couple things in photoshop but have not messed with colors, levels, exposure, anything like that. So any criticism is welcome, novice photographer here.

I think I wrecked the colours of the flower a little in editing, I was trying to lighten it up a bit because it was too dark, but now it looks a bit over saturated.

edit - sorry for the double post, I stopped the page from processing half way through to change some text, but I guess it got through anyway. Could someone please delete this?

Say what?! What happened this time?

Only people who are really familiar with the Down Town East Side will know what I'm talking about when I say the "People's Pidgeon Park" - It's a corner on Hastings and Carral street where about 40 to 60 homeless people hang out during the day (and night)..

I had been in chinatown taking some photos earlier and was walking up hastings to get to the #4 bus stop, when I saw these two guys waving at me and saying "Put that ****ing thing away".. I decided to take their advice and stuffed my camera into my pocket and hurried up but by then they had headed over to where I was and one of them grabbed my camera.

Even though the camera was still attached to my wrist by the strap the guy was going "reset, reset" and trying to open the camera.. I was completely in shock and reached over as calmly as I could as opened the camera for him, took the film out, and passed it over.

He then unwound it and waved it around like some kind of ribbon, and ran around showing the film to the other people there..

I am seriously still in ******* shock over this.. I never would have saw it coming (ESPECIALLY since I hadn't been taking those guys photo's.. the lens cap was on the camera when I was walking by)..

I guess it's a lesson.. somehow.. :mad::mad::mad:

I really like it. But I think you should try to get less angle and get the whole truck into the shot.

I think its cool that your pictures are being used for a commercial purpose at this early in your career.:)

Great shot. The butterfly seems to stand out so well from the pleasantly neutral background...

Doylem, thanks for taking time to comment. Your shots make beautiful Windermere look magical. I've been there twice. Stayed at the Burnside Hotel. Wonder if it is still there.
