@needfx is going colour (nice one Patrick) so I'll go black & white. Four shot pano stitch, Svalbard.

No flowers or sunsets. Just an interesting sky. Comments always appreciated.

Nicely framed - really atmospheric.
Interesting indeed.

Remember the image I shared recently with the hearts? Some of you probably wondered where that came from. Well, this is "Elsie, the Heartstanding Cow," who lives on the grounds of a hospice facility in North Carolina. The small sign in front of her feet tells us that she was hand-painted (forgot to note the artist). Both this and the earlier image were shot with my iPhone 7 Plus just about a year ago. This wonderfully unique cow is permanently providing her calm and colorful presence for all visitors and residents to enjoy.....

Gondola ferry service used to cross the Grand Canal, Venice, Italy
Nice one Florian. I loved the fact that all pubic transit ("buses" & "taxis") are all by water in Venice. We bought a multi-day transit pass and had a wonderful time just cruising up and down the Grand Canal.

Not a chance i am driving my Merc through a pride of lions, i'd rather walk through! and as for those monkeys, goodbye wingmirrors. Thanks, but i'll give the safari park a miss - actually we could take her car!! lol
Sadly, my wife had a mastectomy last Friday and is still in hospital, so quite serious yes, but she's really strong and she'll win. No worries.
Sorry to hear about Mrs. keyrex. Best wishes from this side of the pond for a speedy recovery.
Exquisite as always.
Thanks very much AFB. Polar Bear sightings weren't as frequent this time around but the light and landscape in their winter was magnificent.

Had the chance to sneak in to an abandoned fort and police training facility yesterday for a spot of urban exploring. They built a new training facility next door and this has since stood unused, even though it has Australian Heritage badges dotted around the place.

The sheer intent of these guns that could fire about 12 miles or so off the coast, just in case the Germans ever made it here is frightening to me. I don't do violence in any form and to walk around them was really eerie, even though they were never used in active warfare. It's just the notion that people can actively choose to kill another human being, rather than sit down and talk things through that has always done my head in. I don't know what happened to me in a past-life, if there is such a thing, but I was born a pacifist this time around.
