Hard to call with a processed image that is saved on the web. I’m going to guess phone purely due to the dark areas exhibiting a good amount of noise and crushed blacks. This could also come from processing mind you.
You could ask Ken if this is worth doing a 'How I did it' post - virtually dis that in my reply but could illustrate with intermediate steps if it was worth it.This is peaceful. I really like the lighting.
Must have been tough shooting to get the exposure right. (and some pp, I guess?)
Ken is scary. Can't you ask him? I'll give you my lunch moneyYou could ask Ken if this is worth doing a 'How I did it' post - virtually dis that in my reply but could illustrate with intermediate steps if it was worth it.

He's not scary. Just give him a Glasgow kiss if he steps out of line!Ken is scary. Can't you ask him? I'll give you my lunch money
You bean on my lawn again?well, okay, I'll say proper camera, just to be the voice of dissent. Plus, your angles are all pretty straight, which is hard to do with a phone.

Not sure what the story behind the message is. Just wish the SS felt the same.
Nice. I'll play
Don't think she needs a beauty dish.Thank you, here's the light setup.
There is also a 22" beauty dish used on this shot, out of frame camera left.

We went to a rally on Saturday in protest of the Trump administration's policies on immigration in general and specifically the separation of children from their parents. Don't want to spark a political debate, but including another pic from the rally below.
For the pic you referenced, it was a lucky moment that I happened to catch. Not my stroller. Not my kid. Not the kid who belongs with the stroller.
I was taking some pics of my son and his cousin who were playing near the stroller (and made friends with the girl who is connected with the family of the stroller). Confused yet?
It was one of those weird moments where I saw the girl walking towards the stroller and immediately saw the pic I wanted in my head. I waited for her to get to the right spot and pressed the shutter.
In context it tells a story (a softer story than some of the other pics I took at the rally, but still a powerful story). I think it also works out-of-context (as a broader message about keeping all families together).
The capitol building is in the background but it is fairly blown out with just the hint of lines that could represent a stone wall (border wall?). Would be easy enough to remove them completely, but I think I like them there. I used a green filter in Silver Efex Pro to lighten the grass to give it a bit of a surreal feel and to separate it from the dark tones of the stroller. This also darkened the ribbon on her hat which I also liked. The letters on the sign suffered a bit as they didn't stand out as strongly, but I prefer it that way as the sign is important for the image but it isn't the most important element.
Bleh, enough babbling
Here is another pic from Saturday. It also tells a story.
Apologies for the potentially controversial nature of these pics. Not trying to piss anyone off. I was there with my camera and shot what I saw. The majority of the keepers from the day were actually of my son and niece
Nice. I'll play

Contrary to my political stance, but great pictures - both of them!
Not to make it a competition, but this one wins!
Don't like seeing her face?Don't think she needs a beauty dish.
Quite the contrary, I like seeing all of her. Doesn't need the beauty dish as it seems she's been dipped in the beauty pond.Don't like seeing her face?
Hahaha...if only it worked that way.Quite the contrary, I like seeing all of her. Doesn't need the beauty dish as it seems she's been dipped in the beauty pond.

I love it! how do they manage to stick on the floor ?

As for political nature, to me this is just photo journalism. Albeit done well. Gone story telling picture.
As for today's, any idea why the woman is holding a paper plate?
Last waterfall one. Always amazes me the range of results you can get from a scene just by moving around in a 10-foot zone. Comments always appreciated.

Beautiful place.
Phone - I'll tell you how I know later
Cheers

I’m gonna say phone too. Mostly a wild guess, but somewhat an educated guess.

Great capture. Make it better and crop in from the bottom left a bit.
