Scored a used 45mm 1.8 for cheap. Very small and fun.
I’ve never seen a squirrel quite as relaxed as yours. He doesn’t look like he’s about to leave anytime soon.
If we’re all working from home, does it even matter anymore?Hmm..does this qualify as NSFW?!

I appreciate the comment! I’m trying to be a bit more conscious of my backdrop on these macros, at least when it can be helped. Also, I do like the E-M5’s zoom feature, where I have a button programmed to zoom digitally for more precise focusing. That way I can get the head in clean focus. The butterfly was taken with a used 75-300, so the technique and lots of practice seems to be helping.Beautiful skin tones on that woman! Just kidding with you

You are getting better at this type of photography each day! Really like it.
Yep, he knows a good thing when he sees it! LOL! He did finally leave yesterday, without me having to chase him, which was surprising. I guess he'd had his fill! He is back today, now dining on sunflower seeds in the orange tray while a couple of sparrows are feasting on their birdseed in the wooden tray. Everybody's happy!
Has he worked out yet that one tray is for him, and the other is for the sparrows, & that he is supposed to leave the contents of the other tray strictly alone?
Last year I saw a video of a family in a zoo watching a lion "cuddling" with a lioness, with the boy asking (in Spanish) "What is he doing mom?" and the mother hurryingly responding while leaving "he's cuddling her sweetie, just cuddling, let's go, let's go, don't watch..."But they are just having a cuddle!
That’s all very nice, but where can we see the fruit of your labour? You can’t tease us like that!Last night's playtime! Over two metres of slider with pan and tilt movements for a sunset timelapse at the location I had intended to be at last Monday. The pan and tilt section makes for quick and easy panoramas and 360 captures too. That was what I went on to play with after the sky was dark, creating five row by seven column pano's of the Milky Way.
For those tech-heads out there it's a Syrp Carbon Fibre Magic Carpet Slider, using the Genie II Motion unit and two Genie Mini's for the pan and tilt section. You can actually find your nodal point on this thing too.
At the moment I am using a ballhead to get my horizon level, but there is a lowline device coming that will minimise any movement for that purpose of achieving a level, so it sits lower and has no sidewards movement whilst sliding. It's very clever, with the ability to program it so it pauses between frame captures. I know that my coastline is rather windy, so I want to stabilise everything as much as possible.

These are great bug shots , are you using extension tubes , a macro lens , or just big time crops?
