I really like the natural lighting and reflection on the water.

Ohh got an idea for a new photo.⛲ Some fountains are used as a method for humans to cool down during hotter days, with people being able to move under the sprays of water ⛲

Nope including the 'tentacles' it was 5 to 6 inches across and little Lee Lake does not support Pike or anything bigger than the various trout.are we guessing? isn't it a fishing lure?
ditto on the scale of the original - VERY cool!!oh look, it's everybody's favorite, the triptych.
I knew when we were at the aquarium on vacation earlier this month that I wanted to recreate this photo with my kids that I'd done before. I did not realize at the time that they were each four years apart. They are also in three different aquariums, which is why none of them actually match, but it's close enough for me. My favorite remains the original...the scale and wonder of that moment...but I do love all three.

I'm glad you explained the red. The fires/smoke in southern CA effect the sky similarly (less appreciated, though.)The Saharan dust drift across the Atlantic Ocean into the Gulf of Mexico, thus causing the sunsets in Southwest FL to have the reddish tinge. The other nice thing about the Saharan Dust is its keep hurricanes from forming. This image was taken in Bokeelia, FL USA View attachment 2031657
Interesting the position of your children are the same. How we get stuck in habits.oh look, it's everybody's favorite, the triptych.

if you have flat ice gel packs, you can lay a towel down, lay the ice packs on it, then lay a towel over it and see if your kitty will take to it. p.s. you can also buy cool-gel beds on-line for your next heatwave. I just peaked at your weather - hopefully this is the last day for you for now. So sorry, I know how immense temperature changes like that are really rough on both people and pets.
