Sorry MacRy, I just couldn't resist....
From my zoo photo lesson a while back..
This one's for you!!

I'm not proud. It's totally irrational but I'm powerless to do anything about it. Pretty much nothing fazes me apart from insects and heights and then I'm a gibbering wreck.

Someone left their specs in Edinburgh... oops...
I honestly don't think I've ever been to Wales and it didn't rain. But yes it's very beautiful in places.Just catching up after a long weekend in Wales. Beautiful, scenic place but, as often the problem with visits booked in advance, it was completely grey and gloomy. Nice weekend though.
I'll move the spiders for you but put me three rungs up a ladder and I'm totally frozen!
Doylem?
I bought some lavenders the other week hoping to attract bees and butterflies. Went out there last night and there were slugs on the flower heads. We released the butterflies we grew form caterpillars today. Was awesome, they didnt want to leave. When we let them go, they all just kind of hung out for a while before heading off. Was lovely. The girls adored it.

This is awesome! we got a pot from insectlore.co.uk containing 5 caterpillars. They spend a week going from barely visible to wee fat bloaters. They then climb up onto the lid of the pot and climb into their sleeping bags. We then transferred them into a basket thingmy and now today, we have 5 beautiful Painted Lady butterflies... but can I hell get a decent picture of them!!!
Shared something similar recently. Exploring taking pics of the kiddo at the grocery store. For the previous one, I used a 35mm lens wide open @ f/1.4. Today I used a 21mm lens shot wide open also (this time @ f/3.4).
I honestly don't think I've ever been to Wales and it didn't rain. But yes it's very beautiful in places.
Hopefully you managed to get some pictures?

Maybe I should just have ordered some in the post!

Little house on the prairie ….

It's a lot easier to get a decent shot when there's hundreds of them in a butterfly enclosure. The big zoom helped, 400mm. Can understand the frustration, half the ones I framed up for what would have been great shots, til they got camera shy n flapped off!
Love the wide angle moreso than the last one. The kiddo is cute, and I can't help but think of the cute kid from Jerry Maguire when I see him. Will have to get some more pics of my kiddo up soon.
My post for the day... randomly shooting from my study... Hopefully he's not on this forum, or he'll know who was aiming the big zoom lens in his direction (if his zoom was big enough to see me when he was panning around later!)

It's in Northern New Mexico . Actually , the road is the access road to Chaco Canyon . I'm a fan of the wide open roads , also . Just not this one . Starts out as a nicely paved 2 laner from the highway turnout . After several miles , the paving stops and hard rolled gravel begins . Well the NPS directions into Chaco warned of the pavement ending and a rough road … so this must be it . Not so …. After several more miles there's a sign letting you know that the county absolves itself of all responsibility for the road's upkeep from this point on . Road turns into easily the worst washboard dirt/sorta gravel road I've ever driven for several miles until the Park entrance , when everything becomes nicely paved again . 20 mph is pushing it . The house in the picture is off the washboard section . My guess is the folks who lived there got tired of paying for new ball joints every few months and headed off to Miami , or someplace.Very nice @someoldguy. I could drive all day through landscapes like this (and it usually does take all day!). So many questions that fascinate me. Who lived out there, where were they from, and where did they go? BTW, where is this?
Fairy Glen?Rather grey ones, yes, thanks! It only rained seriously when we were out on the last day but that stopped us going down into Fairy Glen. Just too slippery to risk that last set of rock steps with the sheer drop. Two people had gone down but were coming up on all fours. Decided it was better to live and take photos another day!
Fairy Glen?
That takes me back. Yes I recall it was pretty dangerous getting right to the bottom. Just after I started photography, I went there. Shot in August 2013 on my D3200 with the kit 18-55mm kit lens.

Sun shinning in Wales? Photoshopped I reckon!Yes, I seem to remember recommending it to you when you said you were going. It's a magical place. Lovely picture. Have you seen photos from those people who were fortunate enough to be there as the sun is shining through over the edge?
Sun shinning in Wales? Photoshopped I reckon!
And yes I believe it was you that gave me the heads up in the first place.
I might be heading to the Brecon Beacons in July, but it might fall through yet.
St. Francis de Asis , Rancho de Taos .
Ansel Adams photographed this place in the 1930's . I was in the area last week and decided to try to get the place from the same angle Ansel did .
