Went to the Southwick's Zoo in MA this morning. Didn't walk away with much photographically (though we had a blast and the kiddo loved seeing all the animals), but kind of liked this lake there.

It is part of a "deer park" exhibit that is a large, forested enclosed space with loads of quasi-domesticated deer expecting free food (which you can buy from a vending machine)--kind of a really big petting zoo with deer.

Very good. A lot of people shoot fireworks in the sky with nothing else in the composition. I like the people watching. Gives the image some context.

Cheers :)

Thanks a lot Hugh! :)

Thanks AFB, I really like the reflection the dam was giving me and actually, I've been very limited with space for my gear and the tripod, thus I've decided to include people in some of my shots :).

Very jealous. I love the Stone Roses. Hope you had a great night. I hear they were good.

So, yes, they were amazing. 19 years I have been wanting to see them live.

Ian Brown cannot sing, cannot get timing right, but they lifted the place! It was unbelievable.

Reni the drummer came on with his usual head scarf on and I was a bit disappointed, then about half way through, he did a cheeky switch to his trademark hat and the crowd when mental!

The concert was in two halves - funny as it was in a football stadium - not really two halves, but two very different atmospheres pre and post Fools Gold.

Once Fools Gold had been on, the atmosphere in the place increased from charged to absolutely electric and I mean JUMPING! it was incredible! A night to remember and worth waiting 19 years for! wish I had known, we could have sorted something out man! damnit, another missed opportunity!

Sounds like an awesome night. Some friends of mine went and loved it. Ian Brown has always been the weak link in the Roses but it wouldn't be the same without him. John Squire is my guitar hero and inspired me to learn to play (absolutely nowhere near as good I might add).

Mrs MacRy went the Spike Island gig in the nineties and said is was the best gig she has even been to.

Had my Spike Island t-shirt on last night. The whole of Manchester was jumping... the place was just wired to the moon!
