Mostly when I look at my stuff from three years ago (that I was proud of at the time), I decide no matter how much better my editing gets, it's just not worth saving!

Funnily enough, that's what was going on here.

My Lightroom catalogue has 14000+ images in it and that's ridiculous. Most of them are crap. So that's what I'm doing, going through them and deleting stuff that shouldn't exist and turd polishing the ones that are passable.

That one is passable right?

It is, but to my eye doesn't look like your best work.
Deleting old stuff, one of those jobs I'll get round to one day. Like updating my key wording on some of my older stuff.

Agreed and appreciate the comment. Being three years old and me not knowing what I was doing has a lot to do with that.

Actually, I watched a video on youtube today. It was in regards to going to photography school and whether or not it was beneficial or not. Without going into detail, basically the video suggested if your 'teachers' work was any good, then listen to them. If not, do not.

Sound advice right? The video was great, very down to earth and straight forward. Imagine my disappointment when I checked out the author of the videos portfolio and found it to be ****. :/
