I like this and I always hate to offer advice. The upper right corner is pulling my eye away from where it needs to be. Maybe cropping that out?
You're right ….. Done !

Agreed and appreciate the comment. Being three years old and me not knowing what I was doing has a lot to do with that.
Actually, I watched a video on youtube today. It was in regards to going to photography school and whether or not it was beneficial or not. Without going into detail, basically the video suggested if your 'teachers' work was any good, then listen to them. If not, do not.
Sound advice right? The video was great, very down to earth and straight forward. Imagine my disappointment when I checked out the author of the videos portfolio and found it to be ****. :/
Thank youOn my holidays at last...comments always appreciated.

like the toning on this Hugh - suits the retro lens nicely!
I did. Hot, strong and flavorful. Even brought about 5 pounds home with me.

Gorgeous image. Enjoy Florida. We are getting cooked in the Algarve right now. I never realise how much I am in need of a break until I get on holiday. 3 days in and I can feel my body shut down. Just need my brain to slow down now and I can recharge you know?
I wish I could be a problem photog and go to places like this all year round...
Meanwhile in the real world, swapping #200yardsfromthehouse for #10feetfrom the sun lounger!

Wow! Funnily enough, John Free is exactly who I was referring to. Well caught. That's exactly what John Free says. Lovely man and I like his work a lot but it's nothing like the style you're working in.

It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it!I got up at 10am yesterday (it was Saturday, I'm allowed this), by 10:30am I was asked if I could do a shoot that day. Short notice, but I like money, so sure.

Nothing wrong with sunsets. I like the composition, but a tad brighter would work better in my (unqualified) opinion.More sunsets. Sorry, but they are a feature of SW Florida...comments always appreciated.

Cheers AFB - having gone indoors, I've edited as suggested (added a little curves contrast and increased exposure). If you look at the flickr page you can see the difference (rather than re-post). That's the problem of editing by the pool...

I'm still waiting for your hot dog legs shots from Portugal!lol.. yep just fell for that one... massively over saturated a few shots of the girls here. They looked beautiful through reflected sun on the screen and squinty eyes... now I saw them in the shade... urgh!
Back to the develop module for them!

Isn't that one of the reasons we ALL prefer to be behind the camera?Mate seriously, I couldn't afford the bill for trauma therapy afterwards... there are some things in life you really need to never see... and bare Kenoh flesh is one of them... I make Casper the ghost look like a tanned adonis!
