Hard to get this fella isolated without a stepladder, so a head and shoulders from me as a bit on the lazy side:oops:.

A mono conversion on this and you have an 'Ansel Adams'. Can you bring the rhs. shadow up a tad?

Love it.

I kept the shadows dark as the background is a bit busy otherwise. It makes the leaves pop more having the darkness.

Here's a B&W conversion - don't think I can be likened to the great Ansel though ;)

Methinks you protest in vain sir.

In my "blagged" copy of 400 AA images book there are numerous images of this ilk.

The cropping is tighter in his but I think that is probably the editor (books).

I love seagoing vessels as subjects.

It is the advanced weathering even on newish fittings that attracts me.

Isolating components is a very quick source of satisfaction and they tend to move less than flowers in the wind:).

Yup, you're right, why didn't I? ;)

I could try and clone it out I suppose.

Cheers :)

Okay, so this is for @Apple fanboy. Not quite a bee chasing a butterfly, and actually I think it's a moth, but nevertheless, at least they are in the same frame! :)

I think tomorrow morning before the insects get active I have to cut these all back and try for a second bloom later in the season. Getting a little ragged looking.

Well that's very kind. Thanks. I'll take that compliment :)
