Really liking this 40-150 2.8. Allows me to get closer to things I don’t want to get too close to. :)

Where the Boof and I got to investigate yesterday. The old Soda Ash production facility that is being slowly dismantled.

On a hillside out side of Three Forks Montana sit 30 steel sculptures horses. This is a close up of one of them. Fuji X100V ISO 640 1/350s f/2.8

Really nice! I'd love to see a shot of at least several of them together - maybe all 30? That wide context shot :) .

The Boof is so at home and at ease whenever I am exploring places , she loves it! I had to keep an eagle-eye on her here as there are two buildings currently having asbestos removed from them, so made sure she stuck by my side there near them. She really is amazing!

I should get a photo taken one day of the two of us in our matching high-vis jackets!

Thanks! What’s weird is that I posted this in another forum, too, and it’s more vibrant there than here. I guess this site knocked the colors down? Anyone else notice that?
I have observed a subtle but noticeable difference primarily with colour on here. Autotweaks have been applied to all images posted here on the forums for years, but it was instantly noticeable when I recently returned! Might have to host them outside!

hello @dimme
this is one of the most amazing photos i have seen.
really well done.
thanks for posting it.
can you share how it was done (camera, lens, and what you needed to do to achieve that angle...)
Thanks for the kind words. The photo was shot with a GoPro camera in still mode. (I hardly use it for video) laying on the ground propped up with a rock. I use the remote control app on my I phone. And the walked the model (Gus my dog) around. I edited the photo in light room to correct the distortion of the GoPro.

thanks @dimme.
just looking at the photo i sensed that you must have had to use multiple strategies to get this striking pose by Gus among those trees to actually work in print, so i appreciate learning more about how you actually did it.
there is a lot to learn about both composition and technique in this photo.
thanks.
