Really liking this 40-150 2.8. Allows me to get closer to things I don’t want to get too close to.

Thanks! What’s weird is that I posted this in another forum, too, and it’s more vibrant there than here. I guess this site knocked the colors down? Anyone else notice that?Very nice!
Yeah, and they can endure some pretty hot dry places in the lower 48 too. I once found one growing on the edge of a bluff. It was the regular red and yellow variety.Columbine. Tough little plants considering that they survive the cold Alaska winters.

I have observed a subtle but noticeable difference primarily with colour on here. Autotweaks have been applied to all images posted here on the forums for years, but it was instantly noticeable when I recently returned! Might have to host them outside! Thanks! Really nice! I'd love to see a shot of at least several of them together - maybe all 30? That wide context shot .
Looks like a war scene!
"Absolutely" for both comments! It looked like stepping into a warzone when there, but really hit home when I saw the images start to import! Has given me some great ideas to explore time-lapses & other things there.Right out of Mad Max. Very evocative image!
Thanks for the kind words. The photo was shot with a GoPro camera in still mode. (I hardly use it for video) laying on the ground propped up with a rock. I use the remote control app on my I phone. And the walked the model (Gus my dog) around. I edited the photo in light room to correct the distortion of the GoPro.hello @dimme
this is one of the most amazing photos i have seen.
really well done.
thanks for posting it.
can you share how it was done (camera, lens, and what you needed to do to achieve that angle...)
