Is this (and your last shot) agapanthus - I've been meaning to ask as I have some young plants waiting to be planted out?

Cheers :)

Hugh

Yes. It was at Leu Gardens. An unbelievable collection and diversity of plants throughout the property. https://www.leugardens.org/plant-collections/ As an exercise, I was forcing myself to walk around with an 85mm prime. In the next few days will be from the butterfly garden, where 85mm was obviously the wrong lens as I had to get close and try not to disturb.

Is this a large flower? Trying to decide if it’s really close or big!

It IS a fairly large lily, and while I got pretty close with the macro lens, I decided to shoot the entire flower instead of just its innards this time. The vivid orange color really stands out, too -- I was about a block away when it caught my eye as I was gazing in that direction. It all but called my name to come and take its photo!

The return of my bunny friend. I did get him in the gravel again but the image was just not as striking as the other day when he had that lovely crisp eye. This one was a smaller rabbit too.

Canon 5D Mark II with a 300mm f/2.8 L USM(1988 non IS). ISO 100, 1/250, f/2.8 on my wobbly monopod with the centre and only useful point somewhere near the eye.
