Hoa Hakananai'a ("lost or stolen friend"), a moai statue from Easter Island, in the British Museum in London. It was taken from Orongo, Easter Island (Rapa Nui) in 1868 by the crew of a British ship. Indigenous islanders have petitioned for its return.

pyrocumulus cloud from the King fire 2014. This fire was located aprox. 5 miles from our home and this cloud formed when the fire went into a area where it could run at an unstoppable rate through thick forest. We could see flames coming off trees.
