Your photo will store the settings in the exif data. The photo in question had an aperture of f/4, which is fairly wide open. The wider the aperture ... you can put your camera in Aperture priority and then dial in f/4 and let the camera decide the ISO and shutter speed. It will give you a bit more control over full auto, but you won't have to worry about all the settings if you aren't comfortable just yet.
House Finches are such excellent, cheerful singers! A lot of “oomph” in such a small package.This little guy sung his heart out today in a nearby tree while I was gardening, so much so that I had to run in to get a camera to take a photo of him. Google tells me he's a house finch.

They will overwinter here, and will hit our feeder. The red remains, so it's a welcome bit of color for the cold, gray days of winter.
