Leaving prairie and going into woods Weaver Park Urbana IL
I really liked the lighting on this wild rose.
Ever since we've moved up in the mountains we've looked for this one on our property (32 acres with another 40+ public land attached) and have not found it, up till now.... after all the rain and snow this winter we finally found one. They are truly rare to see and are “fairly endangered”. A Californian mariposa lily.

... closer look at a plant I enjoy seeing -- haven't a clue what it is, but it looks "fern like", though more delicate -- caught this one during a recent early-morning walk in the neighbourhood.

I believe that is asparagus.
Today was the first time I've seen a Cactus Wren (if the reverse image source is correct) in our yard.
That car is just gorgeous, and the lighting and balance between it and the replacement black background is just perfect. Very well done!
