Wise move MacRy...saying "Great pic mate". :D
I don't want him turning up on my doorstep. I'm a big lad but he's got some crazy in them eyes and there's nothing but love in mine...,

Yes that's Mrs MacRy's latest creation!

Hey MacRy...is that a Red-tailed Hawk I see on those branches?

Lol. If only we had such exotic birds where I live.

It's actually a Phoenix.

Which is why you're not my precious.....

No offence mate. I think Mrs MacRy's next project should be to knit a onesie for you! Can't wait to see that one. I'm thinking pink with a pair of ears.

Here's mine for today.

Comments always welcome (but remember I only have a 55 mm lens!)

I might get a 70-300mm in exchange for my D3200 (plus some cash).

A frantic capture from a few nights ago, on the return to our cabin, after capturing the sunset elsewhere. Had to race to get across the road, get the tripod set, get framed, get focus and hope someone would drive by in the right direction before the moon was completely behind the hills... As luck had it, I caught three cars going past, as they had recently departed the ferry, heading back to the city.

Very nice. Good job.

Nab Cottage, overlooking Rydal Water: where Thomas de Quincey lived. He wrote Confessions of an English Opium Eater...

Very nice capture. With your images, you always get a nice shadow of the clouds etc. Do you have to wait around long to get these sort of shots?

Thank you. I don't always wait for a long time. What's important, for me, is to be prepared to wait. It can take me a few minutes to 'settle into' a scene. If the view is good, and the conditions are changing minute by minute (clouds + breeze, etc), then why hurry? :)

Whilst I was down the coast I finally got the pano-head unit out and learnt how to use it, which actually proved to be a lot easier than I ever expected. This is from the first time out with it, where I took eight pano's at this beach in various locations and is a 360 degree pano, made from 24 frames in portrait orientation.

Here's a photo i took in my livingroom with two IKEA lamps and a white T-shirt as an softbox. My Jimmie Hendrix LP acted as an nice surface (hope it didn't get scratched in the process). Here's the result anyway :)
