Can we get a photo of your new tattoo?

I had my first girlfriend’s name - Jan - tattooed on my back. The relationship didn’t last, but, luckily, girlfriends came in a convenient sequence that required the briefest of visits to the tattoo parlour. After Jan came Jane, then Janet, and Janette. The sequence faltered when I fell head over heels for an aromatherapist called Esmerelda, leaving me no option but to incorporate the earlier tattoo into a more elaborate design featuring the Sinking of the Belgrano... :p

I tried some bird in flight last weekend. You make it look easy.

Thanks AFB but really no great skill on my part.

Best advice for birds in flight is to practise, practise, practise close to their food. Hang around a bird feeder and just watch. After a little while you start seeing predictable behaviours. When you're able recognize patterns and anticipate what they're going to do and where they're going to do it, it's much easier...even if you're only right occasionally.

Photo of the Day March 2015

Took a few snaps of my friend's project bike before it goes off to pastures new next week.
