Appledore, Devon... Looks like I've got to negotiate a maze if I want my fish 'n' chips tonight...

Your Comicon looks more interesting than the one I attend in Birmingham UK every year with my daughter. Welcome back, and I hope your new job and house are all that you hoped for.

Over 10k people in attendance. Media guests like Ming-Na Wen, Karen Gillan, Cary Elwes, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Scott Wilson, Mitch Pileggi and more (we were also supposed to have Eve Myles and John Barrowman, but they both had to cancel; Barrowman had to appear at Paleyfest instead) - yeah, it's a pretty great con.

The new job and house are great, but it was really excellent to be behind the camera again all weekend.

And another one for today:

Wow look at that! Gorgeous colours, lovely sunstar.Amazing location! Did a long weekend in Hawaii few years ago. Left Glasgow on Friday morning, got back on Wednesday, did it to the Max. Unfortunately didn't know how to take a photo back then so would love to go back!

ahhh you got it! I'm at work on the border of West/East Sussex and couldn't see anything :(

It was hit and miss. We had really thick cloud down here in Luton and I had to grab the opportunity every time it thinned enough to show through. I had about a twenty second window each time to grab my camera, run outside and frantically try to get a shot.

Here's another when it was closer to occlusion.

Thank you both. The difference in the atmosphere at that elevation is tangible. Everything is so incredibly clear.

It was a truly memorable moment of the trip and I can't wait to return.
