It definitely lives up to its title of "Field of Stars!"That is cool. I find myself staring at it intently, trying to figure out what it is.

Cheers and thank you very much anotherscotsman...high praise indeed.A very belated congratulations Peter - consistently magnificent work and thoroughly deserved!
I just gotta tell you that it was an exciting weekend for me and the missus. On Saturday we went to the grand unveiling and awards ceremony for Canada's Royal Ontario Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017 contest and I took top spot and won the grand prize.
It's all very exciting to receive a very nice prize package that includes a trip to Ecuador and have the Polar Bear image below hanging in the museum for the next there weeks.
I also have to say thanks to @kenoh and award Ken an honourable mention for suggesting a tweak to this image to add a bit more detail around the bear's eye. Thank you Ken!
Cheers,
Peter
Yeah, like this angle better. From above. The coral / driftwood on the beach. I liked the shadow cast.
Very nice KenTook a day out yesterday and managed to get some nice light at Milarocchy just as the sun was going down.

Had to cut my few daffodils yesterday to bring them in before today's sleet and tomorrow's 8-10 inches of snow.

@Apple fanboy we’ve barely had any snow this year, but winter is planning to make a comeback tonight it seems.
Isn't today the first day of Spring? "In like a lion out like a lamb", so true this year. PS,the azaleas are just going crazy in Savannah
Sucks about the magnolias . Thought about running down to see the blossoms this year , but snoozed on hotel reservations and got locked out . Allegedly we've got 6-12" to look forward to in the NYC area . I've got a pile of bulbs coming up in the yard , seems they're at least a week or 2 behind from a normal year . 4th nor'easter in as many weeks . Who needs this?I live in the DC area. Our original bloom prediction for cherry blossoms was this week I think. Then they pushed it back a week. Not sure what will happen now. My star magnolia was about two days away from blooming and now they are all brown.
Yes it's an AC cover, but IIRC the brand is Goodman.
