4th nor'easter in as many weeks . Who needs this?

I live near the NH border and 3-6 inches of snow is predicted in my area- more snow south of me. I certainly don't want it. Nothing is in bloom in my area. And probably won't be for at least another 3-4 weeks.

Thinking of Spring... A single crocus.

Sucks about the magnolias . Thought about running down to see the blossoms this year , but snoozed on hotel reservations and got locked out . Allegedly we've got 6-12" to look forward to in the NYC area . I've got a pile of bulbs coming up in the yard , seems they're at least a week or 2 behind from a normal year . 4th nor'easter in as many weeks . Who needs this?

I used to live in southwest CT (and nyc before that) and have never been so happy to not live there!

Took a day out yesterday and managed to get some nice light at Milarocchy just as the sun was going down.

You don't need mist or fog to obscure the far shore with shots like that Ken. That's an outstanding image.

Peter,

Very belated congratulations! Been out of touch for a bit while putting our house on the market.

I can especially connect with the Napali coast shots since our daughter was there on their honeymoon.

I’ve loved your work since i’ve been watching and posting over the past year or so and it’s nice to see it recognized outside our little corner of the world.

Best,
John
Thanks very much John. Your thoughtful comments are always appreciated.

Thanks mate... you ok? quiet of late... went to see Zeiss on Sunday at the show but no planars in stock... :-(

All good thank bud. Just been very busy and not been able to get out and about to do much photography of late. It's my birthday tomorrow so i'm planning on getting out and about to take some pics.

They didn't have the Planar when I was there a couple of years ago either. I wonder whether it is still in the current line up.

It is there. They said they were available still and not going to be stopped but they let me play with a Sonar 50/1.5... strangely on a Fuji.... lol... I was having a Golem moment holding the little jewel like precious.... "my precious".... lovely little lens, tiny even, but I managed to escape.... wasn't so lucky at the Wex stand mind you but hey ho...

Glad you are OK and I hope you have a great day tomorrow...

Thank you kindly. I loved the colours coming out of the sky. they are enhanced a little to make them more obvious but nothing heavy done to it.

It was a funny one because the camera was cold, I had stuck it in the car then got it out 5 minutes later and the lens fogged up... I was watching the colours develop dancing round begging the lens to clear up so I could get a shot...

lol... growling "hurry up!" at it scaring the locals - 4 other photographers sat there in their camping chairs waiting for the sun to set...

What happened at the Wex stand? Something you need to share with the group Ken? Hmmmm?

WHAT??? That is so crazy! We lived in Darien for 8 years. :)

Superb!!! yes I was sent over there to fix some issues for Pepsi and the company put me in an apartment on Broad Street in Stamford - across the street from the Mall. I used to hang out in Darien and Norwalk (Home Depot) all the time...

I miss it there. Quite possibly the best year of my career... Darien is just past the WWE (was WWF then) headquarters on way to Norwalk on I95 isn't it? I wish I was into my camera back then... exploring that whole area was magical!

Of course Mrs Kenoh gets a bit huffy because I didnt meet her until after, when working in Dublin and she wishes she was there with me.

Happy birthday for tomorrow. You and I both need to get out more with our camera.

Something I'd have put into this week's contest if I hadn't set it. Yes, I get my money's worth from a short excursion to the Hague...Comments always appreciated.

@kenoh, yes, Darien is just one town over from Stamford and the WWF. It was a nice quiet town, but I'm not a cold weather person. I moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia as soon as I possibly could out of college, and met my husband in Richmond. But then he had the audacity to be asked to move to work in the Manhattan office, so I got dragged back to the colder climes for 10 years. We moved here in 2011. I'd still prefer warmer, but this is way better than PA/NY/CT!

My birthday was this month. No gear for me. :( (we'll ignore the 14-28 I got at Christmas, because, well, that was last year.)
