I'm getting a new camera body tomorrow, so I'll probably deviate away from shooting my Lego builds for a bit (I think)

I love your Lego images! My kids have way more Legos sets than I can admit, and even my husband was a bit taken aback the other day when he realized just how much we've spent over the years. :) But good, clean, and educational fun.

The Red Panda!

Red Panda by Lance Randall, on Flickr

For more than 20 years this woman, Rong Nui (aka The Red Panda), has entertained basketball fans at halftime all over the U.S. with her act. It is incredible. She rides a unicycle and begins with with balancing one bowl on her head and progresses to flip more onto her head using her foot. This picture above shows the first flip so there is only two bowls. By the time she gets to the last corner of the arena she flips five at once. She ends up with fifteen bowls on her head.

See http://www.espn.com/espnw/culture/f...t-red-panda-performing-gives-sense-worthiness for videos and her story.

For future reference, @SRLMJ23 , this is the Photo Of The Day thread! If you have a whole bunch of images to post, you can either spread them over a few days, or put them all in their own thread.

The first post has the guidelines:

I apologize for breaking the rules of the thread. Sorry for any issues this may have caused.

Another from my trip out with my none photography friends in February. I probably needed another 20 minutes here to find a better composition. I had about 2 minutes!

For how quick you had to take the photo, I think it came out great!

My post to you wasn't a reprimand in any way. It was merely a suggestion to spread them out over a few days in future, or post a new thread with them all in that. If there's the addition of a behind the scenes type thing, to show what was going on, it's generally accepted, but if everyone was to be posting multiple images each post each day, it'd soon be overwhelming in trying to keep up. I am not an enforcer here, it was merely a suggestion.

It is fine, I did not take it personally. I mean I did break the rule of "Photo" of the day, as it is not "Photos" of the day.

However, the reason I did post all three pictures was because they were taken all at the same time from my balcony moving from north to east, and I felt like it was pretty cool to go from seeing the city lights and buildings, and then moving more east just some houses and a lot of trees with that heavy snow on top of them contrasting against the dark sky with some clouds. Sounds kind of stupid now, but at the time it seemed like a cool idea.

Once again, I apologize for posting more than one picture.

I just gotta tell you that it was an exciting weekend for me and the missus. On Saturday we went to the grand unveiling and awards ceremony for Canada's Royal Ontario Museum Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2017 contest and I took top spot and won the grand prize.

It's all very exciting to receive a very nice prize package that includes a trip to Ecuador and have the Polar Bear image below hanging in the museum for the next there weeks.

I also have to say thanks to @kenoh and award Ken an honourable mention for suggesting a tweak to this image to add a bit more detail around the bear's eye. Thank you Ken! :)

Cheers,
Peter

Lego is the best toy in the world ever! It is one of those few things that I don't begrudge the asking price on because it is so so good for teaching kids to think and to create. I am so thankful to my parents for getting me into Lego as a child. I used to love watching TV shows and movies then going and building the vehicles afterwards. Airwolf, A-Team, nightrider... you get the idea.

I am not ashamed to admit, my mum gave me a lego set every year for christmas up until she passed. That was my thing, not a fancy big set but there was always one there. In fact, my wife seems to be taking up the tradition. I got a Lego set for my Christmas from my girls. Lego Millennium Falcon! kept me quiet for a few hours so I didn't annoy her - win win.

OH MY GOD!!! Superb news! That is incredible. Wow! I am so so happy for you! It is an amazing image, knew it as soon as I saw it. Some images just scream print me large and hang me up.

Very kind of you to mention me here but this is absolutely all yours. It is infinitely easier to edit someone else's work than to create it in the first place.

So chuffed for you and wow Ecuador! so exciting! better start your research.

Found your website and I saw the waves in Hawaii again which you posted on here previously, I love those images. Especially the "Where Sun and Sea collide" image. Breathtaking.

Looking forward to what you come back with from Ecuador. The Amazon Jungle, wow, trip of a lifetime!

Cool. Without hearing an others voice and seeing their facial expressions, sometimes things get misinterpreted when delivered by the net.
Have you tried merging them as a panorama at all? Sounds like it could possibly be a good series to do it with. I'd be interested in seeing it, if it works.

Going somewhere nice with non-photogs is a pain isn't it?

I am taking Mrs Kenoh, the girls and her mum to Turnberry this weekend for Mothers day... I want to go spend time at the lighthouse but I know I have to behave and stay with them instead.

Pounds, euros. Whatever. I can’t keep up with you over the ponders and where you live and what currency you use!! :D:)

It is easy... here on the mainland, we use Great British Pounds... don't worry about anything else... :p

Oh. Whoops. I thought you went to Euros then moved back but I never did understand the whole Brexit thing.

We dont understand Brexit either...

but, wash your mouth out! Euros on the mainland? no way! Euros are used by the folks on the European island/continent.

mwah ha ha ha... here it comes... gonna get roasted for this one ...

Congratulations - a jungle trip, exposure at the ROM and a new camera - great news!
I see that it's a trip for two, so you'll be needing someone to carry all your gear ;)

Congrats ... and well deserved !!!!! I had the chance 10 or 12 years back to go to the Ecuadorean Amazon and the Galapagos and it was great . Hope your trip is even better than mine was ( and it will be because you're not shooting (gasp) film).
