All these castles and monuments we've been seeing lately in the Photo Association thread have me itching to finally get a wide-angle lens and take a trip overseas to see some of those fascinating ruins and still-standing castles and abbeys for myself!
I'm getting some Hannibal Lecter vibes here... ?The other photo I took yesterday, a grinning goose...

A very unusual and unexpected arrival in our garden. A covey of partridges - unless I'm mistaken.
One more cedar waxwing. Haven't had much luck the last few outings.
Same piece of driftwood as yesterday, only a different angle.
Wolf carving, from 2009. Not too fond of the hotspot but it was helped create the lighting which I do l like. Canon A550 Powershot camera.
