One more from my test of my Fujifilm compact earlier this week:

Nice shot! Did you get to go inside the prison cell? Also, when’s the best time to visit the jail. During the day or at night?
In the past I had special access with a dozen people to the prison from a Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. And had my own cell for sleeping
with full access to the prison and island (a large part is closed off to the public). It's a very spooky place! And didn't spend spend much time sleeping at night because there was so much to photograph. It's my understanding The National Park System, who runs Alcatraz, no longer offers those kind of special visits.I haven't been there in 15 years, but in non-pandemic times of the past, Alcatraz had day access and night access options. I recommend day access for a first visit.
