Doylem, that is an exquisite photo -- the softness and gentleness of the light, the perfect composition -- everything!

Thanks, Steamie, for the compliment on my pink image!

I think I overdid it with the shallow DOF in this pic, but I still like it. :)

Oh, And I'm definitely going to do something about that comment, VictorM! Awesome Coccinellidae! :D

I finally convinced my wife to let me practice some portraits on her. The rest of the series on my flickr page.

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/kevinloganphoto/2479965232/" title="Headshots by KevinLoganPhoto, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2296/2479965232_c5a67a3391.jpg" width="500" height="334" alt="Headshots" /></a>

EDIT: I went back in photoshop and fixed some overexposed areas.

Hey there AlaskaMoose. My first visit to this thread and I find a fellow Alaska Mac user. Here's a panorama I just finished from pictures of Resurrection Trail last September. It needs a little fine tuning but this will work for now.
Edit: Attach picture. Duh.

Very nice! It looks a bit overexposed near the nose to me, but besides that it's great! What lens/aperture did you use?

BTW, congrats! You have a lovely wife! :)

Thanks and yes it is overexposed. It was taken while I was still adjusting the exposure but I liked it so I kept it.

I used a canon 50mm f/1.8 at 1.8.

Not sure if I've ever commented about them but I have always liked your macro photos.

Very nice, ltldrummerboy. Are you working on a RAW image?

I usually hang out at one of the Canon photo forums, and fairly new here.

Damn doylem, you really outdid yourself on this one. Definitely, my favorite shot of yours.

Many thanks (to Clix Pix and AlexH too...). This is one reason why it's good to post pictures... to see which ones get an emotional response from other people... and not just me.

Pair of 'synchronised' geese on the lake yesterday... ;)

Thanks, and nope, I'm a point-and-shoot owner. Plain ol' JPEG for me. But I'd love to get into more serious photography.

This one gets said response from me! I love the pairing of the geese with the pairing of the named boats. Super shot!

Trying to decide if I want to crop away the shadowed part of the track at the bottom. Thoughts?
